South Africa `07 - Johannesburg Area Including Rand & SAAF Museum

JNB in an interesting airport. The regular traffic is quite mundane with the exception of Kulula`s interesting green paint schemes. However, you never know what Russian or vintage metal will drop in. The surprise of the trip was an NWA CRJ-900 that popped in for a visit!

RAND airport is located near Johannesburg. It is the home of the South African Airways Museum Society (SAAMS). SAAMS is the first museum to preserve and display a Boeing 747SP. Rand is also a busy field with an interesting mix of active and retired aircraft.

The SAAF Museum is located about 10Km from Waterkloof AFB in Pretoria.
