Alaska offers beautiful scenery for aviation photography. It's also one of the few places where you can see everything from WWII era cargo aircraft like the Curtiss C-46 Commando to the Boeing 747-400F to the F-22 Raptor.
Many of the ramp photos were taken at the 2008 Alaskan Aviation Expo which is held annually on the FedEx ramp. Military aircraft from nearby Elmendorf, AFB and Fort Richardson dropped in for the show.
Palmer is home to one of the Alaska State Forestry's bases. It also has an interesting mix of cargo aircraft.
